Counterbalance Collective is made up of women who are dedicated to bringing balance within the film industry by producing women-led and women-focused content. We work in a supportive space to develop ideas and to further our individual crafts and learn to master new ones. Our mission is to create inclusive, accessible, and exploratory films.
Our first season, Closed Doors, is a short film anthology comprised of 9 short films that we shot over 9 consecutive days in late 2019. The anthology follows 9 women home after the perfect party. Each film reveals inner turmoils, unexpected twists, and intertwined stories. Watch the Closed Doors trailer above.
